CMPS offers 2 convenient ways to complete the training requirements to receive a license to carry a concealed handgun from the Texas Department of Public Safety. We offer a one day class every weekend, and a two (2) night class during the week plus one hour Saturday for qualification. For those wanting to renew their current CHL, we offer a one night course or weekend course (private classes are available). Call to reserve your time! Upon successful completion of the class and submission of the application materials, the state will issue you a license within 60-90 days, assuming there is no legal disqualification. Our CHL class package includes the following:
10 Hours Classroom Training by a DPS certified instructor
Qualification on our DPS approved range (outdoor, but under cover, safe, clean, and controlled environment)
